About The Blessing Foundation
The Blessing Foundation was founded in 2008 by the Ike Family in honor of their son and brother, Blessing Ike, after his passing at the young age of 29. Blessing was an elementary school teacher and Camp Director at YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer where he recruited across the globe for YMCA. His passion in life was to educate and care for underprivileged children. Upon graduation from high school, Blessing followed his passion and earned a degree in education from Clarion University, and soon secured a teaching position in Harford County, Maryland. Sadly, his career as a teacher was short-lived as a result of an almost five-year battle with cancer.
Blessing was a carefree, giving individual who always brought a smile to the faces of those around him. He had a love for life, a great sense of humor, and was an open and honest individual. One of the greatest testimonies of his battle with cancer was that he never complained about his own circumstances or trials in life. Rather, he worried more about those around him and how he could serve them. He spent much of his time pouring into the lives of children by serving a counselor at YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer in Zelienople, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA. We created The Blessing Foundation to carry on with the ministries Blessing left behind after his death.
Our Mission
The Blessing Foundation seeks to care for the poor and underserved, working with communities to equip, empower, and disciple them to disciple others, thereby passing down the legacy.
